Nationally and internationally known for his leadership in sports medicine and musculoskeletal medicine. Dr. Kruse is committed to utilizing cutting edge regenerative medicine giving patients an alternative to surgery. Dr. Kruse received his undergraduate degree from the Ohio State University and medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
Dr. Kruse’s extensive resume includes among many other things being the head physician for the entire United States Olympic Team in 1998 in Nagano, Japan. Dr. Kruse has been doing regenerative medicine for over 12 years with ultrasound guided and stem cells for over six years with great results. Dr. Kruse has lectured extensively throughout the United States and internationally as well on many topics including regenerative medicine.

Dr. Matthew Rennels is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He is committed to helping his patients maintain health, functional lifestyles. Upon completing his residency at Toledo Hospital, he went on to complete his Sport Medicine fellowship with Promedica Sports Care. He has a special interest in musculoskeletal medicine and ultrasound-guided interventions. He joins Promedica Regenerative Medicine with Dr. Roger Kruse and Ryan Szepiela.
Dr. Rennels also works as an associate director of Promedica Sports Care and works as an associate team physician for The University of Toledo.
Dr. Ryan Szepiela is dedicated to a conservative approach to treatment. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, sports medicine and has a specialized interest in spinal intervention. Dr. Szepiela, with his colleague Dr. Roger Kruse, began theProMedica Regenerative Medicine program. The regenerative medicine program offers a non-surgical option for treatment of chronic joint pain, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, torn ligaments or knee, hip, shoulder, back or ankle pain. Dr. Szepiela currently practices in a musculoskeletal and spine clinic, as well as a sports medicine clinic. He uses a comprehensive treatment plan, including physical therapy, medication, joint and spine injections and stem cell treatments. He is also the head team physician of the Toledo Mud Hens, Lourdes University and associate team physician at the University of Toledo.
