Dr. Chris Centeno Vatican Stem Cell Conference Video

Day 2 of the Vatican Stem Cell Conference was rich in big names both political and scientific. Tommy Thompson, former U.S. Health and Human Services secretary gave a talk on the politics of stem cells. Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal chaired a panel on the politics of stem cells which also included Norm Coleman, former senator as well as a former member of the President’s council on bioethics. The highlight of day 2 of the Vatican Stem Cell Conference was a Keynote by Sir John Gurdon, the 2012 Nobel prize winner in Medicine. Dr. Gurdon is one of the discoverer’s of iPS, a technology that allows mature cells to be converted to stem cells. Dr. Chris Centeno spoke about his research into the use of autologous mesenchymal stem cells to treat knee osteoarthritis.

I also spoke today and the video of my talk is above. Enjoy!
