Doctor Heidi Robertson’s love for helping started in high school after participating in a mission trip. Dr. Robertson began her medical training in southern California where she graduated with her medical degree at Loma Linda Medical University in 2002. She trained at the renowned Loma Linda Medical Center for Anesthesiology, graduating in 2007 and was board certified in 2008. In 2012 Dr. Robertson began to feel a pull toward regenerative medicine. She realized the hope that could bring many patients by using prolotherapy. Doctor Robertson has always believed that bringing hope and healing to patients, is one of the greatest privileges she can have in this life. Watching patients with chronic pain even after many surgeries prompted her to research the possibilities of reversing or curing such pain. She completed the extensive Hackett-Hemwall training for prolotherapy in Honduras in 2013 and again in 2014. She also completed the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine prolotherapy workshop in Peru in 2014. Not only does Dr. Robertson have the training and expertise to treat your pain, she has superb bedside manor and a genuine love for medicine. Dr Robertson’s skills include pain management, spinal and epidural blocks, peripheral nerve blocks, and prolotherapy.
Dr. Joel Baumgartner is a board certified physician with a specialized fellowship in non-surgical orthopedics and sports medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, and completed his family practice residency at the University of North Dakota. Dr. Baumgartner completed his advanced training in sports medicine with a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center. He utilizes the latest in diagnostic and treatment technology to better treat musculoskeletal injury and pain. As an international speaker, he instructs both physicians and those in the medical industry on pain evaluation, diagnosis and the latest treatment options. Dr. Baumgartner has authored a book on Prolotherapy and PRP technique, He is also a contributing author on the subject of pain management for a variety of other popular publications. His family and faith remain his priority. Dr. Baumgartner’s favorite name to be called is “Daddy”.
Dr. Janna Vilen is a board certified physician with a specialized fellowship in non-surgical orthopedics and sports medicine. She started on this path after wanting to find a way to help people live better quality lives by teaching healthy lifestyle habits.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion Science and Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. She attended medical school at the University of Minnesota. She then completed her residency through the University of Minnesota Family Medicine Residency at Methodist Hospital. Following she received a fellowship in Sports Medicine from Montana Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Vilen is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. She previously practiced both family medicine and sports medicine in Montana and in the Brainerd Lakes Area. She decided to join the Rejuv team as their vision of whole body health and integrated approach mirrors hers. Dr. Vilen feels it is important for her to be a good role model for her patients. Besides focusing on a career of helping feel better, she enjoys working out and spending time with her husband, son, and goofy dog.
