Dr. Woolley brings a comprehensive approach to pain management. His goal is to help people manage and treat their pain so that they can regain function and enjoy life. He is trained in neuromodulation, including spinal cord stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation as well as intrathecal pump placement and regenerative medicine techniques. Dr. Woolley completed his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology at the University of California, San Diego, earned a Master of Science degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts and completed medical school at Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Woolley completed his anesthesiology residency and Interventional Pain Management fellowship at the University of California, San Diego where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Woolley complements the pain management expertise of Dr. Jacob Blake and the entire Sierra Neurosurgery Group pain management team. “I was initially drawn to Sierra Neurosurgery Group by the physicians themselves,” stated Dr. Woolley. “Throughout my training I have spent a lot of time in the operating room, in clinics, and in hospital settings with neurosurgeons and I can say that the physicians and care teams at Sierra Neurosurgery Group are not only technically skilled, but they are also incredibly compassionate and put their patients first. I was also struck by how humble, and incredibly down to earth the team was. This combination is rare, and I consider myself lucky to join Sierra Neurosurgery Group.” In addition to pain management, Sierra Neurosurgery Group has been providing comprehensive brain and spine surgeries for more than forty years led by neurosurgeons Dr. Christopher Demers, Dr. Michael Moore, Dr. Jay Morgan, Dr. Marshall Tolbert and Dr. Dante Vacca.
In his free time, Dr. Woolley enjoys golfing and is excited to experience the great courses in Reno.

From a young age Jacob Blake knew he wanted to help others.
Inspired by the example set by his mother who provided legal counsel to the poor, he saw early on the positive influence one person could have on the lives of others.
Dr. Blake’s innate scientific curiosity drew him to the medical field. He enrolled at the University of Nevada School of Medicine where he developed a further interest in pharmacology and physiology. After a residency in anesthesiology at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) –where he was both Chief Resident and Regional Anesthesia Resident of the Year – Dr. Blake knew he had found his calling.
At Sierra Neurosurgery Group, Dr. Blake helps patients manage both acute and chronic pain. His practice is founded upon the core values of understanding, respect, and trust. He spends a good deal of his clinical time listening to patients in order to understand their experience both medically and emotionally and works with them to develop a custom treatment plan.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Dr. Blake moved to Carson City, Nevada when he was 15. He is licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington.

From her earliest years, Naomi Albertson, MD, has been fascinated with sports. Her own journey from youth activity through NCAA collegiate competition as a gymnast and tennis player led to her fascination of biomechanics, orthopedics, and athletic performance. She has been intrigued by the advances over the last two decades in sport performance and nutrition which is what led to her exploration of non-surgical treatments of musculoskeletal injuries and a career in sports medicine.
Dr. Albertson’s background includes more than 20 years of clinical experience evaluating and treating musculoskeletal pain and injury in children to seniors. She exemplifies passion for collegiality, collaboration, and treating patients as individuals with unique goals. With her extensive knowledge of bones and muscles, and experience in injury, recovery, and performance, Dr. Albertson works with her patients in a spirit of compassion and openness to help them understand their options and choose the most effective treatment plans available. Additionally, when appropriate, she offers personalized exercise and nutritional programs to restore normal function and improve performance.
Dr. Albertson earned her medical degree (M.D.) from Tufts University, completed her internship in family medicine at Loma Linda University Hospital, followed by a residency at San Jose Medical Center and fellowship in Sports Medicine at Stanford University. She is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine and speaks fluent Spanish.
Dr. Albertson is proud to be a Regenexx Physician. All Regenexx physicians are musculoskeletal experts with extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, as well as complex, image-guided injections of your body’s own healing agents to treat orthopedic issues.
When she’s not treating patients or giving back to the community (and beyond) through teaching and public speaking, she makes plenty of time for skiing, hiking, swimming, and other outdoor exercise in the beautiful natural environment around Reno, often accompanied by her husband, two children and dogs.
