Venous Thromboembolism

Venous thromboembolism (VTE) refers to blood clots that form within veins, most commonly in the deep veins of the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or the lungs (pulmonary embolism). VTE can lead to complications, including pain, swelling, and potentially life-threatening consequences such as pulmonary embolism.
