Gone Fishing…

This week I’ll be taking a much-needed vacation. However, I won’t actually be fishing, instead, in my work wind down years over the next decade, I want to spend time with my wonderful wife sailing. The time is right as we’re getting ready to have our last kid graduate high school next year. So instead of fishing, I’m at a week-long sailing course in San Diego. While I did some sailing in college and medical school, for the kind of sailing we want to do, we’re getting certified in 4 ASA courses this week. This course plus some other educational experiences booked throughout this next year will allow us to crew a sailboat on bigger voyages. So starting this next summer (2022), I’ll be spending a bit more time on the water.

It’s been tough to keep up my usual blogging pace these past few weeks because I’ve had four huge books on sailing to read and digest for this week-long crash course (on top of everything else I usually do). And if I blog less this week, it could be because I can’t get a good Wifi or cell signal off the coast of California! So have a great week and I’ll be back to my usual blogging schedule when I return.
