Read Your Own Knee MRI for Patients
As a patient, is it possible to read your own knee MRI? A few days ago a friend with a knee injury had an MRI done. I didn’t get a chance to read it right away so he jumped onto the Internet to find out how to make sense of the slices. He ultimately found a medical school lecture on knee MRIs and learned enough to get a sense of things. So I put together this overview video and will be doing a series of more specific videos to help out patients like my buddy. They come home with a bright and shiny CD and often don’t see their doctor for a week or more and the radiology report may also be days away. They want to learn as quickly and simply as possible how to make sense of the images. Or perhaps someone has been to see their doctor and just wants to get a sense of what all the hubbub is about, to see and understand the issue themselves. So here goes my first video!Get a Regenexx® Second Opinion on your MRI and avoid unnecessary surgery.
