Dr. Chavez was raised in Glendale, AZ. He completed medical school at Midwestern University-Arizona College of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and fellowship in Pain Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is double board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Chavez practiced as a Pain Interventionalist in Tucson, AZ for 6 years before returning to Phoenix.
Dr. Chavez utilizes his background in Osteopathy and Physiatry in diagnosing and treating his patients with a holistic approach with a goal of improving function and quality of life. He enjoys helping patients with back and joint pain related to degenerative changes or injury with a goal of eliminating or prolonging the need for surgery but can also help with patients that have already had surgery and continue to have residual pain. He also enjoys utilizing the latest technologies in neuromodulation and regenerative medicine as additional tools in helping his patients.
