Doctors

From a young age, my aspiration was to become a doctor, with a passion for helping people reduce their pain and witnessing the positive impact on their lives. Originally from Mumbai, I began my medical journey here in 1994. After gaining experience and training in the UK and working in southern India, the Covid-19 pandemic brought me back to my roots in Mumbai.

My specialization lies in ultrasound-guided interventions, and I have the privilege of sharing my knowledge as a faculty member and speaker at both national and international pain management conferences. I am dedicated to teaching ultrasound-guided, interventional orthobiologics and have contributed to numerous publications, book chapters, and research projects, including studies on pain relief after shoulder surgery, nurse-related low back pain, plantar fasciitis, and the roles of vitamins D and B12 in pain management.

Beyond my professional work, I cherish quality time with my family, which includes my two children and my husband, a respected ophthalmologist in Mumbai. I also enjoy traveling, connecting with people from diverse backgrounds, and learning about their cultures. My commitment extends to community service in rural India, where I organize charity camps and awareness programs focused on chronic pain management.

My mission is to advance the field of pain management, enhancing the lives of those affected by chronic pain, arthritis, and musculoskeletal conditions.

How Does Regenexx Work?

Regenexx physicians use image guidance technology to precisely inject your own bone marrow concentrate — which contains stems cells — directly where it’s needed to repair damaged tissue in the hip joint structure.1-3

The cells in your bone marrow concentrate work at the site of your injury to promote the growth of new, healthy tissue that aids in the stabilization of your hip joint for better function and mobility.4

During appointments, Regenexx physicians examine your body in motion and may use ultrasound to observe the inner workings of the hip in real time. This gives them a more accurate picture of what’s contributing to your pain, how function is affected, and the root cause of the problem.

Once you’ve been evaluated, your physician will customize a treatment plan based on your specific needs. Our treatments include:

Regenexx-SD: a patented protocol using bone marrow concentrate that contains stem cells

Regenexx-SCP: a proprietary formulation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) that’s more concentrated than what a basic bedside centrifuge can produce

Regenexx-PL: platelet lysate, which is a highly specialized derivative of platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
