My interest in lifestyle medicine goes back to when I was an active high school heptathlete. That experience started me on the path to wanting to work with active people and learn how to help them stay active as they age.

I pursued my medical degree at the Catholic University of Leuven and subsequently got my board certification in anaesthesiology. During my residency I developed an interest in chronic pain treatment hence my post-graduate fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the Toronto Western Hospital. Here I learned ultrasound skills and treatment specific for chronic pain and musculoskeletal problems.

After starting my practice, I quickly appreciated the value of regenerative medicine. I am also the co-founder of the Belgian National Organization of Regenerative Medicine, BeNorm.

My current practice is focused on treating musculoskeletal pain and injury. I most enjoy working with patients who are interested in maintaining their active lifestyle and those who are looking toward regenerative medicine treatments.

I am a proud mother of 7 who is always working toward balancing my growing clinic with a busy household. In my free time, I love to play and watch basketball, dance salsa, and go on city trips with my loving and supporting husband, Amsterdam is our favorite city to visit.
